Nothing helps me more when I’m having a bad day than giving others words of love, happiness & encouragement.
If I can’t help myself, atleast I can help others. Atleast that’s my rationale. It never fails.

I have decided to be happy because it creates positive energy
because being angry is not worth the effort
because there are so many wonderful things to smile about
because there are so many wonderful people to appreciate
because my attitude affects the people around me
because I want my loved ones to be happy
because being happy is good for their health.

Things I Do To Keep From Being Sad:
- Listen to happy music (I have a feel good playlist for list. I would recommend making one to everyone)
- Discover new music to get lost in
- Read inspirational quotes
- Think of all the people I love
- Think of all the nice things people have ever said or done to or for me
- Remind myself of life’s simple pleasures (making a list of them is always good. There are so many and we tend to forget)
- Drink coffee. Maybe splurge on a high quality cappuccino
- Get boba
- Watch a feel good movie
- Change things. Decorations on my wall, my bed sheets, rearrange my living space…create new scenery for myself.
- Meditate
- Expell bad thoughts (writing them out really helps to get them out of your head, and into the trash…literally)
- Engage in extra random acts of kindness
- Smile more. To everyone.
- Acknowledge that there are this many things I can do to avoid being sad.
- Understand that “people are just about as happy as they make their minds up to be.”
To put it quite simply, life is too short to be anything but happy.
Acknowledge that there are more things to smile than to frown about because I promise you there are.

No one is in control of your happiness but you; therefore, you have the power to change anything about yourself or your life that you want to change.
